Evaluation of Railroad Bridge Foundation Response to Insulation Application under Cold Regions

چکیده

To establish an integrated railroad network in the Korean Peninsula, preparation for unification era presented 3rd National Rail Network Construction Plan (2016–2025) and Railroad Industry Development Basic Plan, a preemptive response to construct infrastructure considering low temperature North Korea during winter is essential. In this study, extensive numerical analyses were conducted evaluate behavior of bridge foundations while accounting climate geological conditions Korea. Furthermore, we proposed additional items that need be addressed current roadbed design standards. Eventually, found taking measures, such as application insulation, alleviate frost damage due increase adfreezing strength cold regions where freezing index more than 1,000 ℃ day necessary.
